Group of Eight Press Photos on Various Topics, and an Original Newspaper with a Story About the ?Ghost Ship,? the Mary Celeste. [V.p., ca. 1920s-1940s]. Black and white press photos with press markings or captions on versos. All 10 x 8?. Subjects include: Native Americans dressed to receive tourists in Manitou Springs, vacuum cleaner salesmen outside their store, each with a vacuum cleaner, a theatre marquee advertising an appearance by ?Chief White Eagle? with him and ?Princess Sunshine? standing beneath the marquee, the Peterboro Auto show overview of the convention hall, a photo of a collector with his collection of Buffalo Bill material, Fred Allen publicity shot (with secretarial signature), Banff Hotel photo by Nicholas Morant, two traincars beneath a graffitied rock face by Nicholas Morant. Also with the Rutland Weekly Herald. Rutland, VT, March 13, 1873. Story about the Mary Celeste is on p. 6, column 3. 4 large leaves (disbound). Some wear, tears. Rare.
