This is an auction replete with standouts. Works by Magritte, Tamayo, Paschke, Wirsum and multiple mixed media collages and prints from the celebrated Tony Fitzpatrick will cross the block. A significant work by Bill Traylor leads the Outsider Art session, alongside major works by Finster, Yoakum, Dial, Sparrow, and Dawson. Folk art includes a carved grotto Jesus and Devil train set sculpture from Wisconsin, and three oversize leaves by Ivan Albright lead the fine art session. 2. Photography Workshop/Lecture Series: Spring 1985. Columbia College Chicago. Features a photograph by Ralph Gibson. SIGNED by Ralph Gibson, dated '84, and inscribed 'Roma.' 22 x 28".
3. The Silent Witness: The Architectural Photographs of Joshua Freiwald. Royal Institute of British Architects, London, October 5-28, 1987. SIGNED by the artist and numbered 5/88. 18 x 24".
