GUERRA, Vincent. Air France / West Africa ? Equatorial Africa. 1946. This is the rarer first printing of the poster, in which illustrations of Asian elephants were mistakenly used in the design based on photographs Guerra referenced. The poster was reissued two years later with the illustrations corrected to resemble African elephants. 39 ? x 24 ?". Linen backed. Restored tears in the image; expertly repaired tears and scattered areas of over-painting in margins. B+.
