HARDEEN (Theo. Weisz, 1876 - 1945). Hardeen's Magic Wand. Circa 1940. Bakelite wand with butterscotch-colored tips, owned by Hardeen, the escape artist and brother of Harry Houdini. Length 13 5/8". With a letter of provenance.
Minor insignificant scratching.
Letter of provenance dated October 10, 1979 presents the wand to magic collector Peter Heitz from William Mahan, which states in part, "... the ivory (yellow) tipped wand you received was Theo Hardeen's. We were close to Hardeen you know."
