HARING, Keith (American, 1958-1990), (Attribution). Heart Character. Torn Remnant from a NYC Subway Drawing, Removed by Howie Pyro. New York, ca. 1980. Chalk on black paper. From the collection of Howie Pyro, who pulled this from the New York subway walls himself. Pyro was known for founding D Generation among other bands and was also one of the last people to see Sid Vicious before he died. 22 x 30". Right and lower edge intact. Torn edge travels from lower left to upper right. Multiple creases, folds, bends with two torn holes. Chalk is smudged in multiple areas. Remnant is rolled.
