Harry Houdini Castle Lock Display Board. Being a collection of twenty-six twelfth century European castle locks, two large keys, and a pair of cuffs that Houdini used in his escape acts, presented in a folding red plush-lined wooden shadow box. The name сHoudiniо has been applied in brass letters at the top of each panel. The collection was displayed in the Houdini Museum in Niagara Falls for approximately twenty years, and was also used as set dressing in the 1953 film Houdini, starring Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh. Prior to the museumНs acquisition, Henry Muller purchased the collection from Joseph Dunninger, who acquired them from Beatrice Houdini. Accompanied by a 1998 letter of provenance from Henry Muller, president of the Houdini Museum in of Niagara Falls, NY. 61 x 54о (open).
