[HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES]. Collection of ephemera from Southern University and Texas College. 1930s/50s. Approximately 25 pieces, most from Southern University and A&M College (Scotlandville, LA) and Texas College (Tyler, TX). Includes prom and dance invitations; an Athletic Handbook from Texas College; National Negro Achievement Week programs; and Schedule of Courses. Lot also includes three advertisements for Black gospel groups; a signed gospel program; and letter from the Arkansas Tuberculosis Sanatorium for Negroes.
