[HOFFMANN, Professor (Angelo Lewis, 1839 ? 1919)]. Portrait of Professor Hoffmann. SAWYER, Thomas A. Signed and numbered 68/100 in pencil in the margin. 1985. Signed and dated 1985 in the print. Hoffmann, a barrister by profession, is best remembered as author of many of the most important works in the modern canon of conjuring literature, starting with Modern Magic in 1876. Good condition. A. 22 x 17".
