HOFFMANN, Professor (Angelo Lewis). Modern Magic. London: George Routledge and Sons, Limited, 1894. Ninth edition. Grey cloth decorated in gilt and black. Profusion of illustrations. Thick 8vo. Poor condition, with broken binding and well-worn cloth, but intact. Hereward Carrington?s copy, with his ownership inscription on one endsheet. Sold as-is, and together with Carrington?s copy of Handcuff Secrets by Houdini, lacking the rear cover and also in poor condition.
