- Lot Description
[HOUDINI] Houdini Family Genealogical Record. 1920s - 70s. Inked on a single leaf from an oversize visitor's register (most likely from the register at Houdini's Harlem Brownstone), and recording the birth and death years of the Houdinis and their their relatives, including the Rahner and Hinson families. The first entry is for Harry Houdini, and the last is for Thomas Hinson. With a TLS to Houdini on the verso from the Christy Matthewson Testimonial at the New York Polo Grounds, regarding Houdini's offer to take part in the fete for the great baseball player. 12 1/2 x 11", with edges tattered, some soiling and smudging. Provenance: Collection of Beatrice Houdini and her family, passed to the consignor by descent.
