[THURSTON] [DANTE] Howard Thurston Company Correspondence. Dated Jan. 17, 1924, and being a three-page ALS from J.F. Burke, a Thurston company manager, written to his employer from Lexington Kentucky regarding the performing conditions there, and his employment with Dante (Harry Jansen), the magician heading Thurston's second show in America. Burke takes issue with Dante and offers candid criticism of his personality. Three 8vo sheets, with old folds from mailing. Offered together with a second ALS from Burke (presumably to Thurston) with more data on the Dante show, but lacking the first sheet; two Thurston and Jane throw-out cards, and a carbon copy of a TLS from Thurston to Burke dated Nov. 27, 1924.
