[HUMAN ODDITIES]. Photographs of Human Oddity Performers. Eight items, ca. 1890s-1900s. Portrait photographs of sideshow and human oddity performers, including Captain Smith Cook (the giant from Kentucky), Ella K. Ewing (giantess from Missouri), Francis Lentini (three-legged boy), George Moore & Fred Howe (living skeleton boxing the fatman), Alfred Pilgrim (limbless boy), and Adolph-Rudolph (fake Siamese twins). With: two portrait photographs of an unnamed fatwoman, and a dwarf. Most cabinet cards. Studios include Beidel (Chambersburg, PA), Husted (Gorin, MO), and Wendt (New Jersey & New York). Largest 6 ? x 4 ??. Conditions vary, commensurate with age. Most good.
