[Taylor, Zachary] Illinois Precinct Poll-Book from 1848 Presidential Election. Meredosia: November, 1848. Five light blue manuscripts containing 220 names and their votes for proposed Electors (including O.H. Browning and A.G. Henry); one cream sheet containing votes for and against adopting the state constitution, a new mill tax, and ?Articles in Relation to Colored Persons?; plus two cream affidavits from the Clerks of the Election. Folio. Folded, with scattered crinkling and soiling. Scarce.
