This is an auction replete with standouts. Works by Magritte, Tamayo, Paschke, Wirsum and multiple mixed media collages and prints from the celebrated Tony Fitzpatrick will cross the block. A significant work by Bill Traylor leads the Outsider Art session, alongside major works by Finster, Yoakum, Dial, Sparrow, and Dawson. Folk art includes a carved grotto Jesus and Devil train set sculpture from Wisconsin, and three oversize leaves by Ivan Albright lead the fine art session. Immaculate Conception. Artist Unknown. Mid-19th century. Oil on canvas. Shaped canvas and frame. This painting has a great spiritual quality nonetheless. 80 x 50". Frame 89 x 59".
Customer Pickup or Third-Party Shipping Required.
Condition
Surface dirt and dust overall. Paint is very thin and faded. Tear of 10" at center and two other tears of 3" and 1" on right side top and bottom. Craquelure in some random areas, with many scuffs and marks. Frame has many areas of plaster loss.
