Improved Exhibition Model Edison Projecting Kinetoscope. Edison Manufacturing Company, 1903. Serial number 12230; license number 2441. An early motion picture device which projects 35mm film loaded into the box at front, illuminated by the lamphouse. This projecting model was an improvement on Edison's original Kinetoscope, which was viewed by a single viewer through a peephole.
A rare piece of technology from the dawn of cinema.
61 x 23 x 48".
Third-party transportation required.
Condition
Metal pieces oxidized, finish rubbed and worn; stress crack in wooden handle (a modern handle is also supplied).
