HOUDINI, Harry (Erik Weisz, 1874 - 1926). Inscribed Harry and Beatrice Houdini Postcard. London: Campbell Gray Ltd., 1909. Real photo postcard shows Harry and Bess Houdini posed on a heavy carved wooden chair. Divided back, with a pre-printed Christmas and New Year greeting from the Houdinis, and dates of forthcoming performances. Postally used; ADDRESSED IN HOUDINI'S HAND to magic dealer Charles DeVere, and INSCRIBED BY HOUDINI on the recto, "HH and wife." The first example of this card we have encountered with the printed greeting.
