ISHERWOOD, Christopher (1904?1986). Sally Bowles. London: Leonard and Virginia Woolf at the Hogarth Press, 1937. 12mo. Half?title. Modern full black morocco ruled in gilt, raised bands, gilt titles and fillets in compartments, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers, turn ins with gilt ruling, gilt stamp signed by Henry Sotheran. FIRST EDITION of the author?s novella, later to become part of his 1939 novel Goodbye to Berlin, the basis for the award-winning musical Cabaret (1966). AN ATTRACTIVE COPY.
