John Quincy Adams: 1828 Sewing Box. 5" x 3 1/2" 2 1/2" portrait sewing box from the 1828 campaign. The top has a velvet pin cushion with the slogan "Adams And Liberty". The inside pictures an image of Adams behind glass. The exterior is covered with rainbow-colored paper and trimmed with embossed gold-colored paper borders. An exceptional campaign piece.
The top is separated, which is typically the case, but still retains its original silk ribbons at the left and right on the top. The edges have expected wear. Overall in fine condition.
