John Wayne "Dooley's Down" cast and crew coffee mug. Warner Bros., 1953. Heavy ceramic mug with gold-painted handle. Hand-painted image and inscription "Bill / from / Duke" on opposite side.
Stamps of Wallace China, Los Angeles; and Bob Williams, Santa Ana, Calif. to underside.
4 x 3 1/2 x 4 1/2".
A gift from Wayne to one of the cast and crew of "Island in the Sky." Wayne gifted customized mugs over about a 25-year period of his career, ca. 1951 - 1976.
Condition
Light wear to underside.
