Striking color lithograph recruitment poster for the Army Air Service, precursor to the U.S. Air Force, and personifying eagles as aerial combatants in World War I. 27 ? x 20 ??. Linen backed. Some wear along folds; losses and tears to corners, but a vibrant main image. B/B-. While showing losses, this copy has margins bearing the artist?s and lithographer?s credits, quite often trimmed out.
