GERMAIN, Karl (Charles Mattmuller, 1878 - 1959). Karl Germain's Card Sword. Chicago: Roterberg [?], ca. 1900. A selected card is lost in the pack. The deck is thrown in the air and the selection is speared on the blade of the sword. Length 34 1/2". Triangular blade with concealed clip behind handle. Owned by Karl Germain, the great stage magician of the early twentieth century.
Requires new elastic (easily replaced). Usual rubbing and wear to plating.
With an LOA stating that the sword was Germain's own property, and later given to his friend and fellow Cleveland magician, John Grdina.

Packing and shipping expenses shall be added to buyer's invoice and will reflect a charge for labor, materials, insurance, transportation, as well as actual shipper fees.
