Consists of 254 typewritten pages from an early draft of Elia Kazan?s bestselling novel, making up chapters 1, 22-27 in their entirety. 8 x 10?. These pages were sent to Kazan?s publisher and editor, Sol Stein, of the publishing house Stein & Day. Handwritten line edits to chapter one from editor Renni Browne. Provenance: From the estate of Sol Stein.
