- Lot Description
[KESSLER, Chester (1919-1979), photographer]. Triptych of Original Photographs of Hippies in Golden Gate Park. [San Francisco, ca. 1968]. Black-and-white photographs of a young, shirtless, man dancing, surrounded by a crowd of people and banners. Each photo approximately 124 x 96 mm. All photos mounted onto art board (approximately 206 x 356 mm). Kessler was one of the primary photographers who chronicled the Beat movement and the later hippie movement.
