- Lot Description
[KREWSON SR., Martin (1912-2012), sculptor]. Orion Clemens, Samuel L. Clemens' Older Brother. [N.p., ca. 1970s]. Lifesize wax figure of Orion Clemens in gray suit. Standing figure is dressed in custom-made 19th century-style clothing. Figure with human hair, ophthalmologist-grade glass eyes, and fingerprints, as all figures in this collection. Small wooden display sign. Some wear, occasional soiling, some scuffing to head, figure's right shoulder joint is loose and requires repair. Good example of master wax sculptor Krewson's art. Orion Clemens published a newspaper in Hannibal, MO. Figure approximately 72" high. Third-party transportation required.
