L?Excelsior / Papier a Cigarettes. Paris: F. Appel, (1883). Color stone lithograph poster advertising cigarette paper, depicting a white and nearly nude black dancer on opposite sides of the stage, surrounded by rows and rows of dancers and performers in imagery that recalls a spectacle poster of the Kiralfy Brothers or Barnum & Bailey. 33 5/8 x 29 ??. Linen backed. Slight loss along vertical fold in lower lettering.
