Sanson, Guillaume. La Saintonge vers Midy: avec le Brovageais. Amsterdam: Valk and Schenk, ca. 1700. A decorative map that shows Saintonge from the southern tip of the island of Oleron to the mouth of the Gironde. The title cartouche is surrounded by a pair of putti and a female figure with dividers and a globe. The map is further adorned with a strapwork distance scale and two sailing ships. 24 x 21?. A handsome map of a major wine growing region.
