Publisher?s brown cloth, red top edge; map illustrated endpapers; original unclipped dust jacket (spine panel gently darkened with few dampstains, tiny chips along upper edge). Laid in with early newspaper clippings featuring Lawrence?s adventures abroad. Provenance: George William Mason (contemporary signature). FIRST AMERICAN EDITION with many ?added new facts concerning the earlier career of the hero? (Foreign Affairs Review, July 1928).
