Printed in red and black, 6 etchings after Pablo Picasso. Laid in with LEC newsletter. Original publisher?s printed boards; original blue paper-covered chemise; original blue slipcase (a few spots of separation along flaps, some toning). Provenance: Lyndon Holt Landon (bookplate). LIMITED EDITION, number 278 of 1,500 SIGNED BY PABLO PICASSO ON COLOPHON. ?The only American publication with original Picasso etchings? (The Artist and the Book) and one of only three classical literature texts illustrated by Picasso. A FINE COPY.
