LIND, Jenny (1820-1887). Group of three hand-colored portraits, five engraved portraits, a modern original painting, and a German handbill advertising one of her performances. [V.p., ca. mid-nineteenth century]. All are matted. One of the engraved portraits is a duplicate. Some occasional wear, foxing. Mat sizes 27 ? x 27 ?? and smaller. A handsome group. Lind, the famous ?Swedish Nightingale? chanteuse, was hired by P. T. Barnum to perform a North American tour to great acclaim and success.
