LOCKER, Thomas (1937-2012). Untitled (Tree at Dusk). 20th century. Oil on canvas. 20 x 16?. Chipping to image; craquelure. SIGNED at lower right (obscured by craquelure). Over the course of a career spanning several decades Thomas Locker held nearly a hundred solo exhibitions at art galleries throughout the United States. Heavily influenced by Dutch landscapes and works by the Hudson River School of artists, Locker turned to children?s book illustration and writing later in his career, an endeavor which won him critical acclaim and numerous awards.
