LONG, Mason. The Life of Mason Long, the Converted Gambler. [V.p., ca. 1870s-1880s]. A group of eighteen 8vo copies of this autobiography, all in original publisher?s cloth. Various early editions. Some general wear, soiling, some hinges cracking, some textual soiling, wear. Generally, good or better. Mason?s life as a gambler, white slave, Union soldier, a patron of the turf, minstrel manager, and finally a born-again Christian?who then became a stockbroker.
