[MAPS]. Map of the Vicinity of Philadelphia From the Actual Surveys 1851. Philadelphia: R[obert] P[earsall] Smith and Lloyd Van Derveer, 1851. Early folding map of Philadelphia in 24 sections. Linen backed. Unfolded approximately 36 x 35". Toned, worn, soiled, corners chipped, wear at folds, linen on verso soiled. Fair. Still, a scarce early map of Philadelphia with 5 inset views: view of Philadelphia from Camden, Girard College, The State House, Laurel Hill Cemetery, and the Schuylkill River with Sweet Briar Ice House.
