McDonald Birch Silk Performance Garland. Mid 20th century. A wide, colorful, striped silk garland, formerly owned by McDonald Birch. Accompanying note reads: ?Mack (McDonald) and Mabel Birch approached me after a show I did in Newark, Ohio, in the early ?60s. Not only did they complement Sue and I on our presentation of the broom illusion, but they wondered where the long silk came from. I told them I purchased it used from Arturo (Gren Babbs). They said it had been stolen from their show, and Glenn was their assistant one year. They told me to keep it with their blessings.? Visible fabric wear with scattered discolorations and staining. 20 x 16?.
