[x], [1]-301, [1, blank] pp. Publisher's full black cloth, spine stamped in green, publisher's unclipped (?$2.00") dust jacket (cloth spine very lightly rubbed; jacket spine lightly toned, a few short marginal tears, light rubbing, soiling to jacket panels). Fine.FIRST EDITION IN THE UNCOMMON DUST JACKET; WITH AN INSCRIBED CARD BY MERRITT AFFIXED TO THE HALF-TITLE: ?To Wallace Palmer With the affection of A Merritt [with a profile sketch of a demon or spirit]." Palmer was a friend of Merritt's, based on other books Merritt had inscribed to him that have been on the market. "Sequel of a sort to BURN, WITCH, BURN!. A good mystery thriller, with even some moments of humor." (Bleiler, The Guide to Supernatural Fiction 1162.) Measurements: 10"L x 9"W x 2"H.
