London: Andrew Melrose, 1913. 8vo. (Intermittent marginal foxing; heavy at preliminaries). 29 illustrations from photographs including frontispiece, 7 illustrations from sketches, and numerous in text illustrations. Original blue cloth, gilt?lettered spine (spine sunned, tiny chip at head professionally repaired, front inner hinge discretely repaired). FIRST TRADE EDITION. ?Murray and Marston?s Antarctic Days is a fine complement to the two giants of the Antarctic bibliography also emanating from Shackleton?s 1907?9 expedition, Aurora Australis and The Heart of the Antarctic, and it is one of the most sought?after Antarctic titles?
