[NASA]. MITCHELL, Edgar (1930?2016). A group of personal items belonging to the 6th man on the moon. Includes Mitchell?s personal briefcase full of books, photographs, and ephemera consisting of: Apollo 14 letterhead; color photograph of the astronaut; GRANT, E. L. Statistical Quality Control (Mitchell?s ownership signature dated 1957); TIMOSHENKO, S. Elements of Strength of Materials (Mitchell?s ownership stamp and signature); MITCHELL, Edgar. The Way of the Explorer (1996); and space related towels. Provenance: from the estate of Edgar Mitchell purchased by Evan Bernstein on 20 November 2016 (letter signed by the estate sale owner on Edgar Mitchell?s letterhead).
