[NEWSPAPERS]. [CIVIL WAR]. Boston Daily Journal. Vol. XXXII No. 9919. Boston: April 10, 1865. 4pp. 26 X 20". "LEE'S SURRENDER!" AND END OF CIVIL WAR, P.2. "No words of ours, certainly, can presume to express the mighty joy with which the glad tidings of Gen. Lee's surrender has been received." Other stacked headlines include: "Reported Occupation of Raleigh by Sherman" and "Reported Capture of Selma by Gen. Thomas."
Condition
Light spotting, staining. Extremities lightly frayed. Corner folded. Skewed. Left margin chipping from possible disbinding; joint nearly separated. One horizontal crease. Good.
