[NEWSPAPERS]. [GREAT DEPRESSION]. The Milwaukee Leader. Milwaukee: Oct. 28, 1929. Vol. 18 No. 275. 12pp. 22.5 X 17". BILLIONS LOST IN NEW STOCK CRASH, P.1. The headline article, published the day before Black Tuesday, describes the "frenzied trading" on Black Thursday which began the Great Depression. "There were declines all along the line. The mainstays of the stock market--stocks which the wealthier class had been trading in—were smashed downward in record breaks. Ten, 14 and 20 point reductions—which meant billions of dollars loss in trading values—were recorded in a brief period."
Light toning, chipping, and tears to extremities. Brittle. Holes at left margin from disbinding. One horizontal crease. Very good.
