[NEWSPAPERS]. [REVOLUTIONARY WAR]. The Pennsylvania Chronicle, and universal Advertiser. Philadelphia: July 6 to July 13, 1767. No. 25. 4pp. 18.75 X 11.5". TOWNSHEND ACTS, P.1. Featuring an impassioned response to the recent passage of The Revenue Act, Commissioners of Customs Act, and Indemnity Acts on the Colonists, called together the Townshend Acts: "Is it not pregnant with absurdity and mischief to suppose, that the men whom we have chosen for the care and preservation of our property should have a power arbitrarily to deprive us of the same, as that we should be stripped of all our valuable possessions by a descendant of that prince who was raised to the throne by the suffrages of our ancestors."
Condition
Light toning and spotting. Minor discolorations. Bent upper right corners. Small holes and residual glue at left margin from disbinding. One horizontal crease. Very good.
