[NEWSPAPERS]. [WASHINGTON, George (1732-1799), subject]. Columbian Centinel and Massachusetts Federalist. Vol. XXXII No. 36. Boston: January 4, 1800. 4pp. Elephant fol. 19 X 12". Black-bordered. FURTHER RESPECTFUL TESTIMONIALS SACRED TO GEORGE WASHINGTON DECEASED ON P.2. Including an elegy from President John Adams: "...it be recommended to the people of the United States, to wear crape on the left arm, as mourning, for thirty daps..."
Condition
Extremities frayed. Moderate soiling, toning. Chipping from possible disbinding. Large discoloration on p.1. Dampstain at lower right. One horizontal crease producing hole in gutter along with several small tears. Lower margin cut close. Very good.
