NICOLA (William Nicol, 1880 - 1946). Nicola. The Most Wonderful Magician On Earth. St. Paul: Standard Litho., ca. 1915. Three-color horizontal billboard-size poster shows scenes from Von Arx's illusion show including the Bridal Chamber, Levitation, and Cremation effects, as well as other trappings of the magician's trade. Folded in sheets as issued, with tears, wear, and chipping and one loss in the upper left; sold as-is. Scarce; we are aware of only two or three other examples of this image, one being pasted to the ceiling of the Abbott Magic Company's showroom in Colon, Michigan.
