NILES, John Milton (1787?1856). A View of South America and Mexico? New York: H. Huntington, 1825. Second edition. Two volumes in one. 12mo. 223; 263 pp. Portrait frontispiece of Simon Bolivar. Full contemporary marbled calf, spine stamped with gilt titles and decorations (backstrip creased with rubbing at ends, contemporary ink notations to endpapers, browning throughout). One of the first major descriptions of South American revolutions to appear in the United States.
