- Lot Description
[OPERA] Metropolitan Opera Scrapbook with Signed Photos. New York, 1930s. Thick small 4to with a program cover mounted to front, string-tied. Scrapbook belonging to Sylvia H. Greenberg, filled with signed photos of operatic singers, as well as programs, libretti, and associated ephemera. Approximately 15 signed photographs and postcards, most personally inscribed to Greenberg, affixed to pages with corner mounts, including Emanuel List [two signed photo postcards]; Pearl Besuner [signed photo]; Carlo Del Corso [signed photo]; Doris Doe [signed photo]; Cyrena van Gordon [signed photo]; Virgilio Lazzari [signed photo]; Paul Althouse [signed photo]; Maria Muller [signed photo]. Back half of the album contains complete programs and libretti to operas of ca. 1931-34 seasons. Neatly kept.
