Optical Novelty Collection.?1910s ? 60s. Over 55 items, including lenticulars, miniature thaumatropes (one made of metal), holographs, periscopes (including a ?Look Back Viewer"), Distorting Binoculars distributed by Harrods (with original box), holographic trading cards, pocket mirror novelties (miniature funhouse mirrors), mini camera viewers, buttons with optical illusion designs, five variants of the classic ?El Torero" decapitation novelty by Franco including the Yogi, Magic Sword, Buckaroo Banzai, Magic Chopping Sword, and the original El Torero. Generally good condition or better, and many with original boxes. A very good assortment of clever novelties that alter the viewer's sight, or with an images that can be altered or distorted by the user to create many different images. A very good collection.
