Benton, Thomas Hart. Original Thomas Hart Benton Drawing. Chicago, 1907. A pencil sketch of the Memorial Day Parade in downtown Chicago featuring a marching band, a horse drawn carriage, and the city skyline in the background. This sketch once accompanied a letter to Benton?s mother writing that he had gone to the park to sketch but there were so many crowds, he finally gave up and returned to his apartment. Framed, sight 6 x 6?. Slightly toned, else fine.
