OSAMU DAZAI (pseudonym of Shuji Tsushima, 1909-1948). Pair of First American Editions of His Major Works. New York: New Directions, [1956-58]. 8vos. Publisher?s bindings, unclipped dust jackets (some rubbing, minor soiling to bindings; jacket spines toned, No Longer Human chipped, both are lightly chipped at corners, some general wear to jackets, No Longer Human has a bookplate on the fp). Very good. Uncommon. Titles include: No Longer Human and The Setting Sun. These books are considered modern Japanese classics, and No Longer Human has been adapted into films, anime, and manga.
