Pair of Chinese Propaganda Posters. 1969/1976. Including Follow the Great Leader Mao and March Forward Courageously. 1969. Offset lithograph Chinese propaganda poster featuring a large portrait of Mao Zedong, the former Chairman of the Communist Party of China with a crowd of enthusiastic workers and soldiers holding red flags and banners, symbolizing unity and revolutionary fervor. This was to emphasize the importance of following Mao's leadership and implementing the tasks outlined in the communique of the enlarged 12th Plenary Session of the 8th Central Committee. Linen backed. A-/B+. With original fold lines. 30 x 41".

Offset lithograph Chinese propaganda poster from the end of the Cultural Revolution period's "Learn from Daqing in Industry" campaign. The poster advocates for emulating the Daqing Oilfield, which was established as a national model for industrial development and self-reliance. It features "Iron Man" Wang Jinxi, an exemplary worker from Daqing, and depicts various workers in industrial settings like oil rigs and shipyards. Linen backed. B+. 41 1/4 x 31".
