[PHOTOGRAPHY]. [LINCOLN, Abraham (1809-1865), subject]. [BRADY, Matthew (1822-1896), photographer]. Rare Stereoscopic Card Portrait of Lincoln, from the ?Prominent Portraits" Series, No. 2969, ?Hon. Abraham Lincoln, President of United States." [New York: E. & H. T. Anthony & Co., ca. January 8, 1864]. (?[O-84]"). Black and white stereoscopic portrait of a bearded, seated Lincoln on cardstock, with ?American & Foreign" and ?Portrait Gallery" printed at left and right margins. Sight approximately 3 ? x 6 ?". Some minor visible rubbing, soiling. Fine. Matted and framed under glass. Frame size approximately 8 ? x 12 ?". Not examined out of frame. This rare original stereoscopic card was based on a photograph of President Lincoln taken by Matthew Brady, and published by Anthony & Co., who frequently worked with Brady. From the renowned personal collection of Dr. George D. Lacy. Measurements: 13"L x 9"W x 2"H.
