[186], [2, blank] pp. Publisher's thin sky-blue cloth boards, front board and spine stamped in dark blue, publisher's unclipped (no price) dust jacket (minor rubbing to binding, text toned; jacket with repairs and reinforcements on verso, jacket toned (especially at spine), some rubbing, several tears, some light chipping). Very good. PHOTOPLAY EDITION IN THE SCARCE DUST JACKET. Photoplay tie-in for the 1919 film directed by D. W. Griffith; starring Lillian Gish and Richard Barthelmess, both of whom are pictured on the front jacket panel. This film was a surprise hit and was the first film distributed by United Artists (founded by Griffith, Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickworth, and Douglas Fairbanks).
