Pizza Hut ?Pizza Pete? Mascot Figure Sign. Circa 1960s-70s. Pizza Hut mascot ?Pizza Pete? was first introduced in 1965 and endured through the mid-1970s. This original architectural restaurant figure features Pete?s familiar floating hat, apron, and neckerchief as he welcomes diners. These handsome mascot signs were hung on the exterior sides of the ?hut? buildings. Pizza Pete was dropped as a mascot in the late 1970s. 39 ? x 59 ??. Very good.
